Thermoplastic Kayak

Creating safe, comfortable and durable watercraft takes careful planning and engineering. The development and production of this Kayak reflects Medallion’s commitment to building customer partnerships. The result of this supplier-customer relationship is the creation of this exceptional product.

These kayaks are produced in two main parts, Deck and Hull, using ABS with a UV stable, high gloss Acrylic cap. The molds for both sections were built with tolerance levels that accommodated material expansion and contraction over a 17-foot span. The Hull is formed with a negative draft around the entire top flange. Finally, precision-located holes and slots were trimmed for cargo tie-down slots, seating, and the rudder system.
